The idea to start Makola.com came to us when we were in school. Here we are as Africans on campus in a foreign land with no access to the things we were so used to back at home. The Chopbox Special promotion is our way to go back to our roots and let students know they can still have a "chopbox" delivered to them right here in America.
Admittedly, the selection has a bit of a Ghanaian bias because of the current composition of our team. But we're definitely going to reach out to learn about other African countries and offer similar deals soon. In Ghana, almost every single student who attends a boarding school goes with a box filled with food and other awesome goodies to supplement the food that is provided by the school. The selection we currently have here is a small representation of what you'll find in a typical student's chopbox.
